I've been tired for so long now, the repeated feline caused awakenings overnight are the prime culprit for this - non stop "me-out" and "me-in" throughout the night really are not good. If I try to ignore them then they wake me up with scratching and screaming, but leaving the door open is not an option either as this results in the bedroom becoming a part of their night-time race track.
I had actually given up on finding a solution and accepted that I was to be exhausted for the foreseeable future.
I started taking a daily dose of spirulina powder to help with my workouts and fitness goals as it's nutrient content is amazing -

I didn't have any preconceived ideas of what this green powder would do for me, I just decided to give it a try as it sounded good.
I've now been taking it for almost a month and for the last couple of weeks, even though the cats are still waking me up several times a night, I'm finding that I am nowhere near as tired as I was before I started taking it. I used to set my alarm for 6am then spend the next 90 mins hitting "snooze" before finally getting up feeling like a zombie. Now I no longer set an alarm but am waking up at 630am at the latest, sometimes as early as 530am, and still having the energy to get through the day. In fact, for the last week I've been getting up, having a bath, dog walking for an hour and doing my workout before getting to work at 10am.
This is one supplement I am definitely going to keep on taking!
I measure it out an mix it in a small amount of water - doesn't taste great in honesty, so the less water the better - and this is the first thing I consume each day. Closely followed by a pint of water and a protein shake (pea protein, dextrose and cocoa powder - no nasty additives).
There is loads of info online about this seemingly magical green powder, but to make things easier for you, I've put a few links below.
